Saying goodbye is never easy.

I have one more week with my Robbins family. In the words of Jodie Chapman "it is not a good-bye, it is only a see you later!". I like that a lot better. I feel like I hit the ground running once I got here. I could ramble on and on for days about everything I've experienced while I'm here, but I want people to actually read this blog, so I'll just hit the highlights for now! ;)
Job

  • Fun fact: I had never my cousin Chuck, until I drove up here to work for him (and live with him and his family) for the summer. My mom and Chuck were really close when they were younger and wouldn't you know, Facebook got the two of them reconnected, and when mom found out Chuck owns a PR/Marketing firm, the rest.... just fell into place!
  • aro, Chuck's company (http://consultaro.com) is a boutique marketing firm established in 1995. The word "aro" was inspired by the Latin meaning of the word, meaning "to plow".
  • I'll leave the sappy stuff about my uncle Chuck (that's what I ended up calling him) for him and his wonderful family!
  • My job title has been "Account Executive, Social Media/Public Relations".
  • Our office is shared with the great folks at Neat Stuff University! (Check out their facebook page, I made it!!- http://www.facebook.com/neatstuffu!!) Haines Maxwell is the "head chancellor" or as Haines would say, "head cheerleader" of Western Associates aka Neat Stuff U. (Are you keeping up with all of this??)
  • Their staff consists of 2 receptionists, Haines, Marissa, the graphic/art designer, Bobby, the internet wonder-man (with amazing hair), and 4 other salespeople.
  • Neat Stuff University and aro are the reason I will forever love and support small business America. It has been amazing to hear story after story of how one person thought a business should be made for a particular idea, and how they started things from the ground up. HARD, HARD work they do!!!
  • Every day is something new. My uncle has the strongest work ethic of any person I know. Every minute of time I've spent with him, I've been learning.
Okay, I've decided I'm going to write this post in parts. Mainly for people like me whose attention span doesn't like to read for very long! :)
